Think Before You Speak

Ephesians 4:29

DO NOT LET any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is HELPFUL for building others up according to their needs, that it may BENEFIT those who listen.

Sometimes we speak just to speak. We blab anything that comes to our mind and don't realize the negative impact it can have on our lives or others around us.We bring curses into existence for lack of wisdom and restraint with our mouths. We complain as if our complaints would make any situation better.

Today, before we utter a word, let's THINK about the words coming out of our mouths. Let's make sure that everything we say will ENCOURAGE those around us as opposed to breaking their spirits. Let's BLESS and not curse. And PRAY instead of complain.

Have a joyful day ♡

Jesus Wept

John 11:35

Jesus Wept.

Shortest verse in the bible. Yet it holds so much power. Jesus wept over the death of his friend Lazarus. The Bible actually records three different times when Jesus cried, each time in a different place and for a different reason. Every single tear that Jesus wiped from his cheek is meaningful and significant.

Isn't it awesome to know that our savior, our creator had emotions and feelings just like us. There will be days, when we too will weep over situations in our lives. But as the tears roll down our cheeks, let's be confident in knowing that we are never ALONE. Jesus is with us & knows what pain feels like. Let's take comfort in him.

God Bless. . ...

Follow God's Command

Deuteronomy 5:32

So be CAREFUL to do what the LORD your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left.

Many times we have our own idea of how things in our lives should be done. But the reality is that there is only one way to do things correctly. And that is God's way.

So today let's do what GOD has commanded us to do., And even if we're tempted to do otherwise let's not sway to the right or to the left.

Happy Monday.

Keep Your Mouth SHUT

Exodus14:13

Moses spoke to the people: “Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and watch God do his work of salvation for you today. Take a good look at the Egyptians today for you’re never going to see them again. 14 God will fight the battle for you.     And you? You keep your mouths shut!”

Isn't human instinct to want to defend ourselves and fight back whenever we feel we've been hurt or violated ? We are all guilty of it. Its actually our pride that convinces us that we have to have the last word.

But as followers of CHRIST, we are reminded to do the exact opposite. We are called to NOT be afraid, to STAND firm, SEE the deliverance GOD will bring to our lives & keep OUR MOUTHS SHUT!

God will fight for you.Have an AWESOME WEEKEND 😊

Forgiven

Micah 7:18

Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. 19 You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.

God's Word is faithful and true, His Word says He will be merciful and remember our sins no more. So why if we've been forgiven, do we continue reminding ourselves of our past mistakes .? We walk around defeated & hopeless because we allow the enemy to play our past sins over and over in our minds as if they were a movie.

Today, let's remember the moment we ask for forgiveness, we are forgiven & God throws our sin in the depths of sea. Never to be remembered again.

Dont return to Bondage

Galatians 5:1

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Jesus came so that we can live in freedom. If we've been set free by HIS BLOOD, why entangle ourselves by RETURNING TO OUR OLD WAYS.

Today we are reminded to STAND FIRM & not allow ourselves to RETURN to bondage that God has already set us free from. Let's keep our eyes on Jesus & keep walking forward.

Blessed are those that are Meek

Matthew5:5

Blessed (happy, blithesome, joyous, [a]spiritually prosperous—[b]with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the MEEK (the mild, patient, long-suffering), for they shall inherit the earth!

Society has taught us that a person who is meek is someone weak. A doormat who gets pushed around etc etc.

But being meek is quite the opposite. In the book by Charles Swindoll "Improving Your Serve" meekness can be described as " a wild stallion that been tamed, brought under control."

Each and everyone one of us have a wild stallion inside with emotions running all kinds of ways. But today let's allow the Holy Spirit to TAME our characters and make us the person we were purposed to be.

obedience Over Sacrifice

1 Samuel 15:22

But Samuel replied: “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices  as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice,     and to heed is better than the fat of rams.

Today the question is are we being ENTIRELY obedient to what God has called us (individually) to do?

Before we answer this question & begin to defend ourselves let's not respond by saying all the things that we are currently doing "right". Remember the question is ARE WE being ENTIRELY obedient to what GOD has personally asked us to do?

Let's remember God prefers obedience to HIS WORD rather then sacrifice. Today, let's be sensitive to God's voice and do what he has called us to do.

Have a BLESSED day.

True Peace

Psalm 4:8

In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.

We can try & find peace in many places. And we may even find it temporarily. But true PEACE only comes from above.

This morning let's be assured that when we trust Jesus Christ as our Savior no matter what transpires in our lives we are safe & will be in perfect peace.

Have a PEACEFUL day.

Come BOLDLY before the Throne

Hebrews 4:14-16

Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help.

How awesome is it that we serve a God who is compassionate & sympathizes with our weaknesses.

Today, with whatever we're going through let's not be scared to come before God, be honest with how we feel & be grateful that he's willing to love us when everyone else walks away.

Blessings ♥

Stop Worrying

Matthew 6:25

“Therefore I tell you, do not WORRY about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the BIRDS of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds

them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

We cannot worry and trust God at the same time. So today when you get the urge to worry about the circumstances in your life, remember the birds & remember TRUST GOD, SEEK HIM FIRST & DONT WORRY.

Have a joyful day.

Do NOT Conform

Romans 12:2

2 Do not CONFORM to the PATTERN of this world, but be TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING of your MIND. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Everyday the world we live in becomes more & more corrupt. We live in a day and age where everything is permissible and backwords causing constant chaos in our society, relationships, careers, homes etc.

Today, we as BELIEVERS are reminded NOT to CONFORM to the patterns of this world. But that we should be TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING of our minds.

How do we renew our minds and filter the nasty habits we develop daily from what we see around us? Let's get into the Word of God, let's spend some alone time with Jesus.

Have a BLESSED day.

Let the "Son" Shine on You

Psalms19

1 The heavens declare the glory of God;    the skies proclaim the work of his hands.2 Day after day they pour forth speech;night after night they reveal knowledge.3 They have no speech, they use no words;    no sound is heard from them.4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,    their words to the ends of the world.

There was a philosophy professor teaching a course and he warned the class he was going to give them a test. When the day came, he entered the classroom, wordlessly placed his chair on the table and, turning to the blackboard, wrote, “Prove to me this chair does not exist.”Most of the nervous students began intently scribbling out long dissertations. But one member of the class wrote down just two words, and then handed his paper to the teacher. The professor had to smile when he read the student’s answer: “What chair?”

Today, if you need more confirmation that God is real and working in your life go outside, smell the fresh air & let the "Son" shine on you. ♥

Stop Rushing

Ecclesiastes 3

There is a time for everything,    and a season for every activity under the heavens:2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,6 a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,7 a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

Today, let's stop rushing through life., trying to get to the next thing. Slow down and know there's a time for everything ...

Have a Blessed day. ♡

God will Repay You

Ruth 2:11-13

11 Boaz replied, “I’ve been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband—how you left your father and mother and your homeland and came to live with a people you did not know before. 12 May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”

Sometimes we do things for others & don't always get acknowledged for it. But know that NOTHING is hidden from the eyes of God. The work we do today is not in vain. Let's continue doing God's work & not allow feelings of discouragement to creep in because the Lord will repay us for what we have done.

Have a Joyful Day.

Don't stop Believing

Proverbs 13:12

Hope deferred makes the heart sick,    but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.

Let's not ever believe our lives are over because we made a mistake or things didn't go the way they should have. The moment we stop Hoping, Dreaming, Believing we'll make ourselves sick. →Ex: Anxiety, Depression, High Blood Pressure, Stomach Ulcers, Migraines et etc.

Today let's keep Hoping, Dreaming & Believing cause GOD isn't finished yet.

Blood is thicker then Blood

Proverbs 17:17

A friend loves at all times,And a brother is born for adversity.

A true friend never walks away no matter what. A true brother is always ready to help in time of need or trouble.

There's a saying that "blood is thicker than water".. Meaning family ties are thicker then friendship or marriage. But the Blood of Jesus is thicker than any blood that can bond families together. Nothing can bond friendships together more then those who Praise & Worship God together.

Today, we are thankful for those friendships that are sealed with the Love of Jesus.

Have a JOYFUL day.

A Broken Heart

Psalms 51:16-17

16-17 Going through the motions doesn’t please you,  a flawless performance is nothing to you.I learned God-worship when my pride was shattered.Heart-shattered lives ready for love don’t for a moment escape God’s notice.

Sometimes life breaks us in more ways then one. But when we're broken... that's the perfect time to run to Jesus..Because even when life breaks us...and everyone walks away. . We know that a broken heart is one thing GOD will never despise & he will ALWAYS embrace us..messed up and all.

Today, forget about everything else and run to Jesus.

The TRUTH shall set you free

John 8:32

32 Then you will know the TRUTH, and the TRUTH will set you FREE.”

Today, we celebrate the independence of our country... and a Grand Celebration it is. As believers we also celebrate the freedom there is by having a relationship with Christ.

Unfortunately, there are still many who have NOT yet encountered FREEDOM. As we celebrate today, let's say a prayer for those living in bondage ! That they may encounter Jesus & know the TRUTH that will set them free for eternity.

Enjoy your day :-)

He is THE ALPHA & THE OMEGA

2 Corinthians 4:16-17

16-18 So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us.

"GOD never promised to keep us out of hard places... what he has promised is to go with us through every hard place, & bring us through victoriously." - Gerald Flury

Today, let's stay focused on Jesus because He is the Alpha & the Omega. The beginning and the end. And will be with us through IT ALL.

Have a Blessed Day ♥♥♥

Stop Pretending

Psalms 147:3

He heals the brokenhearted  and binds up their wounds.

All of us can relate to being brokenhearted at one point or other in our lives in our lives whether it was through sorrow, abuse, rejection, abandonment, guilt etc.

Most people who act like everything is fine are those hurting the most. Today, let's stop pretending. We must face it to fix it. Let's locate the hurt/wound and give it to God. God will only heal what we give him control over.

Remember before a "physician offers treatment for a patient they ask where does it hurt, how long has it been hurting and what caused it?"

God Bless You !

How do we view Prayer ?

Matthew 21:22

And whatever things you ask in PRAYER believing, you will receive.” Here's the problem most of us have though, we look at PRAYER as a personal vending machine, we press the right buttons and boom we get what we want.

But someone once said "Prayer is communicating with God for the purpose of KNOWING Him, SEEKING His heart, and doing His WILL. It is putting your ear to God's chest to hear & know his heartbeat."

Today, let's establish a True PRAYER life with our almighty King NOT a vending machine one time experience. When we do whatever things we ask for in FAITH, we shall receive.

GOD BLESS YOU.
