Test Everything, HOLD on to what is Good

1 Thessalonians 5:21 21 but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. Not every situation we encounter will be good, not everything that is said to us will be good, not every person we meet, will be good. But the bible reminds us tells to test all things (ask the Holy Spirit for discernment) and whatever IS GOOD, HOLD ON to it.

But if you lose your soul, you lost everything

Matthew 16:26 26 For what does a man have if he gets all the world and loses his own soul? What can a man give to buy back his soul? What's the one thing that matters most to us when someone is about to pass? Their souls, where they will spend eternity. Will we see them again? And yet in life it's the last thing on our minds. We worry about everything under the sun except our relationship with the Son. Today know that you can gain the whole world, but if you lose your soul, you've lost everything.

Guard what God has entrusted you....

1 Timothy 6:20 20 Timothy, guard what God has entrusted to you. Avoid godless, foolish discussions with those who oppose you with their so-called knowledge. Sometimes we get distracted by the babbling of others and what they have to say about us or what we are doing. But God says GUARD what God has entrusted to you. At the end of the day we as individuals will give account to the Lord for what HE put in our hands.

Increase and Abound in Love

1 Thessalonians 3:12 12 and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you, You know why the Apostle Paul says "May the LORD make you increase and abound in love?.....Because God IS LOVE, it's only HIS LOVE in us that can teach to LOVE with no conditions. When we start walking with Him, we start acting, talking, LOVING like Him. We see people through HIS eyes despite their flaws. Today, may the LORD make you INCREASE AND ABOUND in love ❤. Happy Friday

Where does your beauty come from ?

1 Peter 3:3,4 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. Sometimes we're so concerned on what we look like on the outside or how we portray ourselves to others. But what does our heart look like? What would we look like to the world if our hearts were all they could see?

There's Power in Silence

Proverbs 17:28 28 Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent. Not every thought that comes to our mind is meant to be shared. Why ? Because sometimes we speak before we think. And when that happens we are at risk of hurting people, breaking their spirits, offending people, getting ourselves into unnecessary problems etc. Today the Lord reminds us that wise people know the power of silence.

God is calling us ...

1 Samuel 3:10 Now the Lord came and stood and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant hears.” God is calling us by NAME, wanting to have a relationship with us, wanting to interact with us, wanting to bless us. What is our response like? Is it like Samuel who responded by saying, speak for your servant is listening? Or are we too busy listening to other voices, to even hear his voice reaching out to us? Or do we hear him, but we choose to ignore Him anyway? Today Remember God is calling us, you and I by name.
