We all have a choice

Genesis 3:11-12 11 The Lord God said, “Who told you that you were without clothes? Have you eaten from the tree of which I told you not to eat?” 12 The man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate. Isn't it interesting that as humans when we commit a sin or fall into trouble, our tendencies are always to first blame God and then blame others. Adam's response to God was "the woman YOU gave me,SHE gave me the fruit of the tree. But the key word here was "And I ate". Adam was influenced by eve, there's no doubt but Adam made the final choice. Today know that everyday we are given a choice. It's called FREE will. We can't go through life blaming others for our actions. We have the ability to choose between what's right and what's wrong. It's a gift, lets use it wisely.

Don't allow ANYONE to put a harness of slavery back on you

Galatians 5:1 5 Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you. "CHRIST SET us FREE" those are our focus words today. But today know that the enemy's daily mission is to put a harness of slavery back on us. What type of slavery? Slavery to anger, slavery to bitterness, slavery to resentment, slavery to hate, slavery to envy, slavery to revenge, slavery to drugs, slavery to ... you name it. Today, TAKE A STAND, dont ALLOW anyone to put a harness of slavery back on you.

The Lord is Shepherd

Psalms 23:1-2 The LORD IS MY SHEPHERD I will have everything NEED. 2 He lets me REST in fields of green grass. HE LEADS me beside the quiet waters. The question today would be how can we expect to have everything we NEED, how can we expect to REST and how can we expect to be lead? If most days we don't even allow God to be our Lord nonetheless our Shepherd. Today know that our needs are met, rest is given and we are lead only when the LORD is our SHEPHERD.

What's the secret to being content?

Philippians 4:12 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. One would think that maybe Paul was content because life was good at the moment. But did you know that when the Apostle Paul wrote this verse he was sitting in a prison? Is it possible to be content in the midst of our storms? What was his secret to being content? Paul learned that contentment (happiness or satisfaction) doesn't come from our circumstances, it comes from knowing that no matter what we're going though GOD is STILL in control. When we are 100% sure that God is in control, we can relax knowing that yes I'm going through this temporarily now but the God I serve will turn it around for good. And in the meantime I will remain joyful and continue having a positive attitude.

Put the childish things away...

1 Corinthians 13:11 11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. It's interesting to me that the apostle Paul writes this verse about acting as a child after verses prior to this one speak on what Love IS and what LOVE is not. Could it be that when it comes to LOVE and LOVING people we often act very childish ? Today we reminded, that as grown men and women it's time to put the childish things away.

Put your sword back in it's place

Matthew 26:52 52 “Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. Our Focus words are " Put your sword back in it's place". Know that your battle is not against people, it's not against your job, it's not against your spouse, it's not against an illness. Today know that this battle is not physical, it's spiritual. And since it is spiritual we CAN'T fight it with a sword. Spiritual battles are FOUGHT on our KNEES. Praying and interceding against the wiles of the enemy.

Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans The bible doesn't say commit SOME of the things we do to the Lord. The bible tells us to commit WHATEVER we do, big or small, things we would think God could care less about. He's interested in the details of our lives, and the verse finishes will HE will ESTABLISH our plans.

Although they knew God...

Romans 1:21 21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Our prayer today should be that if we've had the opportunity to know God, to encounter Him, to experience His presence. That we would NEVER forget to honor Him and to give Him thanks. The bible tells us today that when we forget to have gratitude we become futile meaning ineffective, useless; not successful.

If we could just be honest, transparent & humble...

Psalm 40:17 17 As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord takes thought for me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God! How beautiful is this verse. This is David just being completely transparent to God. Humbling himself in God's presence I can imagine God himself confirming to David that he hasn't forgotten about him. And David responds by stating You are my help, only you will deliver me in my time of trouble. Imagine the impossibilities that would be made possible if we could just be honest, transparent, and humble before God's presence.

There's a Cost to be a Christian

Luke 6:35 35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. There's a cost to be a Christian. There's a requirement for us to think differently then how this world thinks. We have to LOVE those who harm us, LEND without expecting something in return, and how painful is that? But the bible reminds us that our reward will be GREAT. The last part is epic because it reminds us that God himself is kind to those who are ungrateful and evil. Today we are reminded To be CHRISTian to be CHRIST like and Christ minded.

Do we REALLY trust God?

Psalms 20:7 7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but WE trust in the name of the Lord our God. As believers, WE often SAY WE trust in the Lord, but is He the first one we run to? When the walls start caving in, do we immediately get down on our knees? When all hell has broke out in our homes, do we run to HIS HOME? When calamity becomes our norm, do we open up HIS WORD? Today, let's not just say we are trusting the Lord. Let's LIVE, trusting The Lord.

Blog Update

Update:: So I just want to apologize in advance if you have been following this blog. It may seem as if "Text message from Jesus" has gone down the tubes. But that's far from true. Actually it's quite the opposite. I've had the opportunity to add new contacts to my phone almost every month, which is an awesome blessing. It has given me the ability to share God's Word with new people. God has really been moving and blessing people through these messages. It's always an encouragement getting messages back from people stating how thats exactly what they needed to hear or what a comfirmation that text was. I feel so blessed to be part of such an awesome ministry. Is it a ministry ? I would like to think so. 😊👌. It may not be a "big" ministry but it is "great". One day I'll share how God showed me the difference between the two. I have continued sending out the daily text messages everyday or almost everyday to my contacts on my phone since the beginning. BUT I have totally slacked on posting them to this blog and instagram. Which honestly I wish I would've so I can keep track of the amazing verses God has given me throughout the years. Being that my phone deletes my messages after a certain amount of time. But here's to staying consistent to this blog. One thing God recently reiterated to me was that no matter how small and insignificant the work you are doing may seem. It's still HIS WORD. Working for the Lord and being used as an instrument is a wonderful blessing. His WORD holds power and transforms from the inside out.
