Follow your HEART or Follow JESUS ?

Jeremiah 17:9

The heart is DECEITFUL above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

Media & Society teach us to just follow your heart. "Following our heart" has become one of the great myths of our world today that is SUPPOSED to lead us to the right answer; but instead often times leads us to deeper pain and deeper sin.

The WORD OF GOD teaches us that our heart is deceitful above all things and the ONLY ONE we should be following is JESUS. His LEADERSHIP will lead us into LOVE, JOY & PEACE.

Today, don't TRUST yourself of your heart. Instead let's trust JESUS. Have a BLESSED DAY !

You were born to bring honor to HIS NAME !

Colossians 3:23-24

23 Whatever YOU DO, WORK AT IT with all YOUR HEART, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Lord, We THANK YOU for the talents You have given every single one of us. REMIND US that since we've been gifted its not for our own glory or benefit BUT to bring HONOR to your name & also to BLESS those around us.

You were BORN to BRING HONOR to HIS NAME. Use the gift that's within YOU.

They WILL NOT overcome you

Jeremiah 1:19

They WILL FIGHT against you but WILL NOT OVERCOME YOU, for I am WITH YOU and WILL RESCUE you,” declares the Lord.

The WORD OF GOD is clear in saying that there will be fights against us, (this walk with CHRIST isn't always peachy) BUT whatever is against us WILL NOT OVERCOME us. Praise GOD !

*Giving Up is NOT an option.. Today, let's thank GOD for the promise that he will not only be WITH US in our battles but rescue us from them as well. May you have a BLESSED day.

Run towards him... The GOD of HOPE

Romans 15:13 "May the GOD of HOPE fill you with all JOY & PEACE as you trust in him,..."

How many of us have tried everything under the sun hoping that it will give us JOY & PEACE. But we're NEVER satisfied as a matter of fact,everyday we're left with a sour taste in our mouths cause this world has NOTHING to offer...

GOD is the ONLY one that can FILL us with JOY & PEACE. The kind of JOY & PEACE that even if "life" is falling apart, we can still smile cause we TRUST that GOD is in control. So TODAY let's stop running in the wrong direction and instead run towards him.. THE GOD OF HOPE. Have a JOYFUL DAY !

Love will ALWAYS WIN

Romans 12:20 & 21

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." 21 DO NOT BE OVERCOME BY EVIL, BUT OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD.

People will resist wrath, hate, anger & power; but "goodness" they CANNOT resist; it finds its way to the heart; and the conscience does its work. LOVE WILL ALWAYS WIN.

GOD, this morning we FORGIVE & PRAY over anyone who has hurt us in any way,shape or form. Fill us with LOVE, COMPASSION & MERCY so that we can OVERCOME evil with good. Have a BLESSED day.

I've had enough Lord

1 Kings 19:4

While he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom bush, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. "I HAVE HAD ENOUGH, LORD," he said. "Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors." 5 Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep.

At times we feel the same way right? Just want to give up... walk away from it all.. when we're emotionally strung out, it's easy to think that everyone is AGAINST us, that GOD has forgotten about us.. & that there's no HOPE...

Truth is though that GOD hasn't left us AT ALL. We're just OVERWHELMED & TIRED like Elijah was..

Proverbs 24:16

The GODLY may TRIP seven times, but THEY WILL GET UP AGAIN. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.

**Sometimes we think that since we've kept TRIPPING over the SAME sin & we keep making dumb choices that THIS TIME we'll NEVER be forgiven. But the TRUTH is that no matter how far we run, no matter how deep we fall, as long we COME BACK HOME with a HUMBLE & CONTRITE heart the GOD we serve will ALWAYS FORGIVE us. That is the true definition of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. GOD BLESS & Have a joyful day !

Reaching out to Jesus

Luke 8:43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for TWELVE YEARS, but NO ONE could heal her. 44 She came up behind him and TOUCHED the edge of his cloak, and IMMEDIATELY her bleeding stopped.

Many of us are suffering with the same issues year after year...looking for help EVERYWHERE yet NO ONE can help us.. but TODAY let's reach out to JESUS.... He is JEHOVAH RAPHA.. The LORD our healer. There's nothing impossible for our GOD & he is our IMMEDIATE solution to any & every problem. God Bless You.

WHY AM I STARTING THIS BLOG ?

So about two months ago.. I thought to myself why don't I start writing my own devotionals for myself ? Well I did the first day and then it kind of slipped into thin air. Then the following week I decided I wanted to text all my friends on my phone a "GOOD MORNING TEXT". It was a nice thought/gesture but truth is at the end of the day "my words" though encouraging will eventually be forgotten and don't have the power to change anyone's life in the long run. BUT then I thought why not send all my friends a daily bible verse with a mini explanation along with it. The WORD OF GOD says in ISAIAH 55:11 "So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."

So I knew right then and there that sending a "text" from JESUS would be just what my friends needed to hear early in the morning .. in order for their lives to be impacted and changed every single morning. That being said I knew in my heart this is what GOD was calling me to do.

Ok so the text messages are great & awesome & I keep getting new phone numbers each week to send the text to. (PRAISE JESUS) BUT then I thought to myself why not start a BLOG ? Hence the name "TEXT MESSAGE FROM JESUS "That way these encouraging text messages can really impact the World. And so that's why I'm here today. So I pray that these "TEXT MESSAGES" bless your life and that they encourage YOU to seek a more intimate RELATIONSHIP with Jesus cause in the end.. that's what it's all about.
