Compromising a Blessing ?

Judges 16:20 

Then she called, “Samson, the Philistines are upon you!”He awoke from his sleep and thought, “I’ll go out as before and shake myself FREE.” But HE DID NOT KNOW that the Lord had left him.

Samson had supernatural strength because he was obedient to the Lord & had kept his commitment before the Lord. But it came to a point where Samson continued to COMPROMISE his strength by living in direct disobedience to what the Lord was asking of him. He got so deep into his sin that he hadn't even realized that the Spirit of the Lord had left him in the sense that he no longer blessed Samson with that supernatural strength.

Each one of us have been blessed with something SUPERNATURAL, something that only God can give and only we can use. Lets not COMPROMISE the blessings God has given us by living in direct disobedience to what GOD has called us to do.

Think twice before you Speak & Forgive Quickly

Ecclesiastes 7:20 

Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous,no one who does what is right and never sins.21 DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO EVERY WORD PEOPLE SAY ,or you may hear your servant cursing you—22 for YOU KNOW YOURSELF THE MANY TIMES YOU YOURSELF HAVE CURSED OTHERS.

Isn't it ironic that when someone says something hurtful to us, we're immediately offended & we replay it over & over in our minds. But the moment we say something hurtful, we feel justified & think "well I said this or that because. ."

Today, we are reminded that NO ONE on Earth is righteous & we've ALL committed sins. When someone has hurt our feelings, lets FORGIVE them immediately, remembering that at one point we've also done the offending. We will live a much happier life if & when we think twice before we speak & learn to forgive quickly.

God cares about EVERY detail...

Philippians 4:6 

Do not be anxious about ANYTHING, but in EVERY situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

There's a countless amount of things we can pray for aren't there ? And yet most times when we do make time for prayer we only pray for the "big" things in our lives such as family problems, illness, finances, etc.

This verse is a REMINDER that GOD cares about every detail of our lives. Nothing is TOO big or TOO small for Our GOD. Today, let's take some time out and just speak to the Lord about our lives cause if anyone is interested in it. Its definitely him !!!

Satisfied with Partial Healing ?

Mark 8:23 

He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?”24 He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.”25 Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were OPENED, his sight was RESTORED, and he saw everything CLEARLY.

Sometimes as God is taking us through the healing process, We see a little change & say ok God I'm good now. In other words, We're satisfied with only PARTIAL healing.

BUT the God we serve is a PERFECT God. A God of COMPLETION. And opening your eyes seeing people as walking trees, although your eyes are OPENED is NOT A COMPLETE HEALING.

Today, let's not RUSH God and let's allow the HEALING he's doing in our lives come to full circle. That way our vision can become RESTORED & we'll be able to see CLEARLY

What is your Foundation ?

Luke 6:46

 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? 47 As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like.48 They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. 49 But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”

"Any contractor will tell you that a building is only as good as its foundation. If the foundation is faulty, the building is doomed. But if the foundation is solid, the building will stand a long time"

Today, let's be encouraged to build our foundation on the ROCK which is Jesus. When we have a solid foundation, stability in our lives is a given no matter what comes our way !

It May SEEM Right.....

Proverbs 16:25 

There is a way that SEEMS right to a man,But its end is the way of death. Often times we make decisions based on feelings & emotions. We make decisions thinking "yes this is exactly what I "NEED" .. this is the right thing to do."

But the WORD OF GOD says that these choices we make today that "seem right" in our eyes will often lead to death. Death doesn't always have to be physical, it could be the death of our walk with Christ, our ministry,our career, our future, our dreams, our relationships, our reputation, our finances etc etc.

Today, before making any decisions that seem right. Let's bring it before the LORD & allow him to guide our paths.

Thrown into the Fire

Daniel 3:23 

And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?”They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.”25 “Look!” he answered, “I see four men LOOSE, WALKING IN THE MIDST OF THE FIRE; and they are not HURT, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of GOD.”

Many times we may feel like we are being thrown into the fire sentenced to death. But what we need to realize is that (1) we're not burning and (2) if we look close enough the Son Of God which is Jesus is standing right by our side.

Today, don't fear the fire, cause it only draws us closer to Jesus. Have a BLESSED day.

As long as we TRUST GOD

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep in PERFECT PEACE those whose minds are steadfast,because they trust in you.4 TRUST in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.

PERFECT PEACE is a promise from God as long we TRUST in HIM. Trust means assured reliance on the character, ability, strength or truth, of someone.

We cannot WORRY about our situations & say we "Trust" in the Lord. TODAY, lets not allow worry to consume our minds & instead let's TRUST that GOD is in control.

Greater is HE who is in Me

1 John 4:4

 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Sometimes we feel defeated in our daily struggles & think that the enemy is greater. But the truth is that when CHRIST dwells in our heart, we are undefeated because Jesus has already died on the cross for you and for me. The problem is that us as Christian don't realize the power that lies within us & if we don't acknowledge it, we cant use it.

Today, remember one thing the one in YOU is GREATER then the one who is in the world

Without being Charged we are USELESS

ohn 15 :5  “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

How many of us connect our phones daily to the charger ? Obviously all of us.. sometimes more then once a day to make sure the phone doesn't lose its battery.

Yet we're told in this scripture "REMAIN IN ME" continuously and we don't understand why. Just like a cellphone without charge is not able to be used for its purpose & is useless... We are set up the same way. We need to constantly remain in Jesus (having our battery charged daily) to walk in the purpose God has for us.

Today, let's recharge our batteries whether it be through prayer, reading our Word, going to church, listening to Worship Music, Meditating on HIS GOODNESS etc. Remember without charge we are useless. GOD BLESS ♥

Cry out to JESUS & Live in FREEDOM

Psalm 32:3

When I kept it all inside, my bones turned to powder, my words became daylong groans.4 The pressure never let up; all the juices of my life dried up.5 Then I let it all out; I said, “I’ll make a clean breast of my failures to God.”Suddenly the pressure was gone—    my guilt dissolved,    my sin disappeared.

A preacher of the early 1900s said that when he was 12 years old he had killed one of the family geese by throwing a stone and hitting it squarely on the head. Figuring his parents wouldn’t notice that one of the 24 birds was missing, he buried the dead fowl.But that evening his sister called him aside and said, “I saw what you did. If you don’t offer to do the dishes tonight, I’ll tell Mother.” The next morning she gave him the same warning. All that day and the next the frightened boy felt bound to do the dishes.The following morning, however, he surprised his sister by telling her it was her turn. When she quietly reminded him of what she could do, he replied, “I’ve already told Mother, and she has forgiven me. Now you do the dishes. I’m free again!”

Sin is the same way, It makes us its slave and the enemy threatens us with labels like "hypocrite","fake" "liar" if we dare expose it. But the moment we CONFESS to GOD, our wrongdoings, our pain and hurt it can no longer hold us captive. God FORGIVES us immediately & we are FREE.

STOP complaining

Ruth 1:20 

“Don’t call me Naomi,” she told them. “Call me Mara,because the Almighty has made my life very bitter. 21 I went away full, but theLord has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi? The Lord has afflicted me; the Almighty has brought misfortune upon me.”

Have you ever came across a whiner or a complainer ? Where something is ALWAYS wrong ? Or maybe we are that person. Naomi was complaining instead of being grateful that she was still alive regardless of HER disobedience to the Lord.

Today let's stop complaining & whining about EVERYTHING that is going wrong & instead be appreciative that we are still alive & be grateful for God's mercy.

Psalm 96 2 & 3

Shout the news of his victory from sea to sea,Take the news of his glory to the lost,News of his wonders to one and all!

So many people around us daily that are walking around broken hearted, dying on the inside with no hope.

Yet us as Christians who are BLESSED because we know the truth., We remain silent because we are preoccupied with our own busy lives & problems. Most of the time we do t even notice those around us. BUT today let's remember to share the Good NEWS and tell the WORLD that there is HOPE in JesusChrist.

A ROARING Lion

1 Peter 5:8

 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a ROARING lion, looking for someone to devour. 9 STAND FIRM against him, and BE STRONG in your faith Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.

Today lets not LISTEN nor BE INTIMIDATED by Satan's roar. We serve a GOD who is GREATER ! Rather we should STAND FIRM against him & BE STRONG in our faith. Remember Satan's attack is never personal, he attacks ALL brothers & sisters ofthe Faith. Have a Blessed Day !

One Word from Jesus

Psalm 107 17 -21

Some of you were sick because you’d lived a bad life, your bodies feeling the effects of your sin;You couldn’t stand the sight of food, so miserable you thought you’d be better off dead.Then you CALLED OUT TO GOD in your desperate condition; he got you out in the nick of time.He spoke THE WORD that healed you, that pulled you back from the brink of death.So THANK GOD for his marvelous love, for his miracle mercy to the children he loves;

Amen. One WORD from God nd that's all we need. Today lets be encouraged to READ our word and spend some alone time with JESUS. And let's continue to THANK him for his LOVE because it is ONLY HIS LOVE that keeps us STABLE & SANE.

No Weapon formed against me shall prosper

Isaiah 54:17"

 No weapon formed against you shall prosper,And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn...."

In this lifetime we will encounter many hardships, trials, & torments. We will encounter people who under the influence of the enemy will attempt to destroy us through gossip,lies, attacks, harrassement, evil words etc.

BUT the WORD of GOD says that NO WEAPON formed against us shall prosper and every TONGUE that rises we shall condemn. We as Christians need to remember that whatever is thrown our way WILL NOT PROSPER. . Its just an attack.. It has no basis, It has no foundation. We should also remember that through PRAYER we have the power to renounce every lying tongue that rises against us.

Today, lets use these attacks as a push to draw closer to God as opposed to using it as an excuse to give up. Have a Blessed day.

Specific Prayers

1 Samuel 10 

In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly. 11 And she made a vow,saying, “Lord Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.

How many times have we also came before the Lord and prayed in deep anguish, weeping bitterly like Hannah ? Probably most of us..but what we can learn from Hannah this morning is that even in her anguish, she was VERY SPECIFIC with her prayer. In 1 Samuel 1:20, we see her specific prayer answered when she finally gives birth to her son Samuel.

So if GOD answers specific prayers why dont we get more specific.? ♥ Have a BLESSED day & begin to pray more specifically.

Commit your plans to GOD

Psalm 37:5

Commit your way to the Lord,Trust also in Him,And He shall bring it to pass.

In our spiritual walk, it is natural for us to put God first. However when it comes to day to day issues we tend to think God is not interested or that our daily drcisions are insignificant to bring before him. GOD WANTS the BEST for his children.

Today whatever plans, hopes, dreams etc etc we have let's bring it before GOD and put in his hands.

He will take care of the rest. REMEMBER lets commit our ways to the Lord, trust him & he shall bring it to pass. Have a Blessed Day.

Time is Precious

Ephesians 5:15-17

Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Time is passing & passing quickly. Time is one thing we can never get back. There is no rewind button & sadly no pause button. Today let's use our time wisely & remember that we exist on this earth for one reason & that is to be a reflection of Jesus. When we realize this, we no longer waste our time on things that don't matter. Every day we wake up a gift from God.
